Using Your Flash

Learn to Produce Studio Quality Lighting with your Speedlight!

Understanding how to use both available light and flash in your photography will make you a more rounded, versatile photographer. In this class, we will teach you how to use a single flash speedlight mounted to your camera, and off-camera to achieve beautiful, flattering lighting on all your subjects.

We will discuss both Nikon and Canon speedlight models, and break down the functions and how to use them. Through practical exercises, you will learn how to use this powerful tool to compliment your photography. We will also discuss the complications that may arise while using it both indoors and outdoors, and how to overcome them.

  • DSLR / Mirrorless camera.
  • Extra Batteries.
  • Memory Card.
  • Note Taking Supplies.
  • Speedlight – minimum requirements area Canon 430EX or a Nikon 600SB.

When you have finished this workshop, you will have the knowledge and confidence to produce beautifully lit, creative images that are sharper, have more depth with more colourful backgrounds.
